Spotless Brick & Pressure Cleaning (“SpotlessBPC”, “we”, “us”) provides brick cleaning and pressure cleaning services in Melbourne and surrounding Victorian suburbs. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone, email, and the site address for a job.
- Job details: photos, descriptions, quotes, invoices and payment records.
- Basic website data such as pages visited and device type, collected through standard analytics and security tools.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, book and complete work.
- To issue invoices, record payments and keep the business records we are required to keep.
- To protect our website from spam and abuse.
We do not sell personal information. The only advertising-related use is measuring our own Google Ads, described below.
Cookies, Google Ads and analytics
Our website uses Google Ads cookies (and Google Analytics cookies, where enabled) to understand which of our ads lead to enquiries. When you submit a quote or booking form, your email address and phone number are converted to a one-way hashed code in your browser and shared with Google so it can match the enquiry to an ad click (Google “enhanced conversions”). Google does not receive your details in readable form from us for this purpose. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser settings.
QuickBooks Online and our internal tools
Our accounting records are kept in Intuit QuickBooks Online. We use a private, internal tool that connects only to our own QuickBooks company to read customer, quote, invoice and payment records so our team can answer enquiries and prepare drafts. The tool:
- is used only by SpotlessBPC staff and is not offered to other businesses or the public;
- connects through Intuit’s secure OAuth 2.0 sign-in, and we never see or store a QuickBooks password;
- keeps access tokens on our own computer, encrypted in transit and never published;
- does not share QuickBooks data with any third party.
You can ask us to disconnect the tool at any time. Disconnecting removes its access to QuickBooks immediately.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our accounting software (Intuit QuickBooks), email and website hosting, and only as needed to provide our services. Some providers may store data outside Australia; we choose reputable providers with appropriate security.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep financial records for as long as Australian tax law requires, then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by contacting us. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
