Brick Restoration & Damage Assessment in
Common questions
What is the difference between brick cleaning and brick restoration?
Brick cleaning removes surface contaminants — mortar smear, algae, pollution film, efflorescence — using chemistry and pressure. Brick restoration addresses physical damage: cracked bricks, eroded mortar joints, acid burn discolouration, spalling face brick. Some jobs need both: cleaning followed by restoration of what the cleaning reveals.
Do you do repointing or brick replacement?
Send close-up photos of the damage plus a wide shot of the wall. We tell you honestly whether restoration cleaning and stain treatment will fix it, or whether the wall needs a bricklayer for repointing or replacement.
Can you fix acid burn from a previous clean?
Often, yes. Yellow, brown or rust streaks from a too-strong acid wash are assessed first and treated with specialist stain-lift chemistry rather than more strong acid. We test a small area before treating the whole wall.
How much does brick restoration cost in Melbourne?
Every wall is different, so we price from your photos. Send close-ups of the problem plus a wide shot of the wall and we reply with a written fixed price.
